Attorneys for businesswoman Sandra Iheuwa have accused her estranged husband Steve Maduka, aka Steve Thompson, of threat to life and grievious bodily harm in petitions to the Inspector General of Police and the American Embassy.

The lawyers claim that Steve was involved in an "illicit relationship" shortly after marrying Sandra and he infected her with a sexually transmitted disease while she was pregnant, despite pleas for him to stop the affair for the sake of their unborn baby's health.

An acting clip of the son of presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, Gregory Oseloka Obi, has caused a stir on social media.

This is coming after the spokesman of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) Festus Keyamo (SAN) challenged Peter Obi to urge his son, Oseloka to organize a campaign march in Awka, Anambra state.

Keyamo made this call in a tweet on Saturday while reacting to a video of a campaign march organized by the son the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu.

He wrote, “Lagos Walk organized by @STinubu in a well-organised Lagos State.

“This is an open challenge to Peter Obi to allow his son hold a similar walk in Awka, Anambra State, where he governed for 8 years within the next one week, especially on a Monday, or throw in the towel!”

Reacting to the challenge, tweeps unearthed a clip of what Peter Obi’s son, Oseloka does for a living, adding that he has no time participating in such challenges.

In the clip, Oseloka, apparently, a Hollywood actor, was pictured acting in the movie, titled Avenue 5.

The clip has garnered a lot of reactions from Nigerians on social media who commend the politician’s son for being independent and pursuing his dreams and not baskingin the euphoria of his father’s wealth.chiddybankz wrote: ‘‘Festus was daring @PeterObi son to organize a rally in anambra on Monday yesterday like being a former Governor’s son is a career.”

Naijapatriot wrote: ”Oh dear. Is there no end to how every attack on Peter Obi means that something stellar about him gets unearthed? APC/PDP must feel like all their guns discharge bullets from the back. Because what is this?”

Mr Venatius wrote: ‘’How many billionaires have independent kids? This one is only son o. Forget, Peter and Margret no be most people mate. It takes a lot of discipline to raise an only son to be independent.’’

Kennyjuan98 wrote: ‘’Peter Obi really raised a focused, responsible and hard working man as a son unlike agbado man’s son that goes around lagos and Abuja packing up strippers here and there.’’

Whitefi wrote: ‘’Peter Obi’s son hustling to take care of himself. He never depend on his father’s wealth to survive. What a man?’’

AniediANI2 wrote: ‘’@PeterObi taught them contentment and independence in all ramifications. This is so impressive!”

Nominee wrote: ‘’You’ve to agree with PO when he said his son is a very busy man and he doesn’t have much time with him cos he’s focused on his career 24/7. Learnt he’s a producer too.’’

Chinedu uchechukwu wrote: ‘’Peter Obi son is an actor , his kids are not waiting for anybody’s money, they are making their own’’.

The photograph of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is conspicuously missing on the party’s branded vehicles for campaigns for the 2023 general election in Rivers State.

The branded vehicles, numbering about 25 are set to be unveiled on Monday, October 24, 2022, along with the party campaign council secretariat, located along Woji Road in GRA, Port Harcourt.

The campaign council, christened “New Rivers Vision Consolidation Project”, has former PDP chairman in the State, Chief Felix Obuah, as director-general while Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is the chairman.

Recall that Wike, along with other governors including Governors Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo), have been having running battles with the national leadership of the PDP over the continued stay in office of Senator Iyorchia Ayu as the party’s national chairman.

The G-5 PDP governors have also given the replacement of Ayu as pre-condition for supporting the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in 2023 presidential election.

But, speaking with LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt on Sunday, a former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, said the fact that the campaign vehicles are emblazoned in PDP colours is a confirmation of Wike and other four governors of their membership of the party.

Nwuke said: “I haven’t seen the buses myself. I will have the opportunity to confirm it when the campaign office opens its doors to public on Monday. If as you said, the branded buses are not carrying images of Atiku, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“Members of the G5 (Five PDP Governors) have vowed to remain in the PDP. The fact that the buses are emblazoned in PDP colours is a confirmation of their membership of the party.

“It is on record that that the G5 has withdrawn from the Atiku campaign council. If, as you said, the buses are not carrying Atiku’s face, it will ordinarily means that the G5 states have kept faith with their pledge not to campaign for Atiku if he refuses to listen to demands for fair play in the PDP.

“What you see is a commitment to deliver PDP candidates and a fulfilment of the vow to stay out of the Atiku campaign if Atiku treats the South with levity.

“As you know, reconciliation in the PDP is a work in progress. That’s what the party says. We hope that the party would guarantee progress which aims at some level of inclusiveness.

In what appeared to be a continuation of their sustained inter-rivalry clash, the fighters of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) at the weekend attacked the enclaves of Boko Haram, during which six of them were reportedly killed.

ISWAP had in a silent operation stormed the home of Boko Haram insurgents in Gajibo, a town 95km northeast of Maiduguri, Borno State capital and slaughtered six whom they declared as “infidels”.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, the attackers also recovered five AK47 riffles from the Boko Haram terrorists.

ISWAP had carried out many successful attacks against Boko Haram terrorists in its sustained feuds, which caused the group a huge casualty and loss of war assets.

The worsening of inter-rivalry clashes, between jihadist groups, may lead them to irreversible self-destruction as the revolting ISWAP had vowed to battle more with members of its former main body than even with the Nigerian troops.
